Scarf - 1910s Japanese vintage hemp linen

$120.00

Dyed by hand in Tāmaki Makaurau, artist Oscar Perress uses charcoal, ink and coffee to colour the antique Japanese hemp linen netting of his scarves.

"The purpose given to each object, and how it is inhabited/occupies space determines the evolution of its form”

This same concept is extended to his textiles, imperfect as it starts, and then softening and ageing with connection and time, creating an evolving conversation between object and life.

Available through Public Record in skinny and regular widths, these add a raw and nonchalant layer to any outfit and are intrinsically
beautiful on their own.

Skinny approx size: W150 x1800mm
