Richard Penn's Artifact series:
The Futurist Artefact series are a group of ceramic objects imagined as the remnants of a lost future civilisation. Penn sees these objects as having travelled backwards through time to the current moment. They are mysteriously designed objects that could just as easily be mechanical, decorative or ritualistic and invite the viewer to participate in the process of finding anthropological meaning from traces and fragments of civilisations that have ceased to exist, or in this case, are yet to exist.
