with the lovely Barbara Arbuthnot
Working with a lichen covered branch, learn how to make gorgeous large scale wall hanging ornamental piece for your home.
Our tutor, Barbara has always been interested in creating dried art pieces. It comes from a life-time of foraging for beautiful branches and pieces that have been left behind after a storm, whilst being mindful of preserving the growing plant.
She has number of years of working under a wonderful teacher of the Sogetsu School of Ikebana and although Ikebana is definitely not the focus of this class it has certainly influenced the way in which she views and trim foliage.'
If you want to bring your own branch or favourite foliage that is ok, but not necessary as we will supply various plants and material. Please bring your secateurs (pruning scissors). If you don't have any, don't worry, we will prepare a few to share.
