Camille Paloma Walton^[22]

Wellington-based contemporary jeweller Camille Paloma Walton was born in a small town just outside of Wellington to two creative parents - her mother, a sculptor, and her father, a painter.

Camille spent her life exploring all kinds of creative outlets and found that she can encompass all the elements, she enjoys from working in other mediums, into her jewellery.

It is with a multitude of mediums and forms of expression, She said that “my inspiration is drawn from traditional forms but I like up the ante with combinations of materials, playful colours and scale.”

The colour and expressiveness of paintings to the detail of drawing and approach to form in sculpture, through to the tactile experience of modelling, that provides Camille with endless possibilities and an ability to work with different materials. 



Recently Camille has been focusing on fine jewellery with the highlight being the carefully selected combination of gemstones which are held by organic forms. These pieces are to be kept and cherished through generations, the treasures you might marvel at in your grandmother's jewellery box.

Her pieces are all one-off and unique.
