Veronique Desmet is a Belgian artist currently living in New Zealand.
This work is named after the place, in NZ, the tree was growing on. I had a
connection with that tree as I was going to that place regularly. I was there the day it was cutdown and I choose that piece. Specially for the bark. This tree had been on the property forlong and had been planted by the 2 owners. It encapsulate time.
A playful action takes on a relationship.
Materials:mature radiata pine + natural NZ oil and bison wax.
