These mugs are formed on the wheel from New Zealand terracotta clay with a high sand content. Lauren then hand carves each vessel and applies slip colour on leather-hard work to optimise both depth and colour. Once bisque-fired she glazes each mug with a brush technique.
All slip and glaze recipes are her own and she operates out of her small apartment in Mt. Victoria where spatial constraints have a directly influenced her chosen methodologies.
