Works on paper L 524/2013 1

$2,600.00

This collection of work was created by a collaboration between Steven and John's exhibition at Public Record ' The Fading Memory of the Scribe'

This artwork had been made from 200mg cotton Fabriano with sound waves drawn it using a modified speaker attached to a CNC machine. The audio used was considerably slowed down so the frequencies, which would be unable to be captured at real-time speed, are visible on the garment. The geometry of the pen, the speed of the CNC and the speaker construction attenuate any frequencies above 450hz.

As the pen runs up and down the length of the paper and the speaker plays sound through it a unique pattern is drawn over the textile. The garments have been constructed without side seams to prevent the disruption of the pattern
